A gentle day in the Tabanan highlands: the terraces at Jatiluwih, a small waterfall through the paddies at Yeh Hoo, and a soak in the hot springs at Angseri before the drive home.
Drive up to Jatiluwih early and walk the terraces while the paths are empty. Ten minutes away, Yeh Hoo is a small waterfall reached through the paddies — a swim if the pool is clear. Lunch above the terraces, then Angseri, natural hot springs in a river valley with warm pools under the trees, for an hour of doing nothing. About eight hours with your own driver, all of it at 700 metres where the air is cool.
It's the quiet alternative to the busy north-Bali day: no lake temple queue, no big waterfall steps, just the best terraces on the island and two small places nearby that most visitors never hear of.
The hot springs are the point of the afternoon. After the walk and the swim, warm water and a valley to look at is the right way to finish, and it's twenty minutes from the terraces.

Putu was at the hotel right on time. We had Banyumala with very few people around, then the twin lakes and a slow lunch looking over Jatiluwih. He read the weather and swapped two stops so the walk stayed dry. Exactly the day the page describes.
The solo price was explained clearly before I booked — no surprises. Ketut stopped whenever I asked for photos and knew which warung to pick for lunch. The ATV and rafting were booked through him so I only paid once.
Afternoon rain in the highlands, so our driver reordered the route and we did the temple first. Sarongs were in the car. Nothing felt rushed and we were back at the villa at the time he said.
