Jimbaran comes from the word “Jimbar” which means wide. Jimbaran was originally a fishing and farming village. Since many of the first seafood eating places in South Bali appeared in the Jimbaran beach area and several international standard hotels began to emerge, now the livelihoods of local residents are more focused on tourism.
